A Simple Format for Realtors on Camera
Appearing on camera is a personal choice. If you feel comfortable trying it, I encourage you to go for it. A listing video gives viewers a chance to see your personality as well as the home.
Very few of my clients choose to appear on camera. For those who do, I use a simple format to make the recording easier: a property hook, the home’s highlights and a call to action.
Start with a hook about the home
Lead with what makes this property interesting. On your own social account, you do not need to spend the opening introducing your name; viewers already have the account for that context.
A useful hook points to a real feature. For example, you could introduce a kitchen designed around entertaining or a home with a particularly useful office layout, when that accurately describes the listing.
I like the Realtor to appear early in the video. That gives people an opportunity to connect the presentation with the person behind it. It also lets potential future clients see a little of your personality.
Explain the home
The middle section gives the viewer a reason to keep exploring. Talk about the features you want them to understand and how the spaces work.
Keep the explanation focused on the property. The video can show the rooms while your words give them context.

Finish with a clear next step
End with a call to action that fits the campaign, such as inviting viewers to contact you about a showing or explore the complete listing. The viewer should know what to do after watching.

Give yourself time to practise
Talking and moving on camera gets easier with repetition. I often think of the first ten videos as practice, although everyone becomes comfortable at a different pace.
You do not have to be perfectly relaxed on the first attempt. A simple structure gives you something manageable to work through while you find your own delivery.
See my real estate video services, and tell me before the appointment if you want to appear on camera so we can plan the recording.
