The Gear I Use for Real Estate Photography & Video
After photographing over 10,000 homes, I’ve refined a gear setup that’s fast, reliable, and built specifically for real estate.
This isn’t a list of recommendations — it’s the exact equipment I use on real client shoots every day to deliver consistent, professional results.
Why I Share My Gear
I get asked all the time what equipment I use for real estate photography and video.
Instead of recommending random products, this page shows the tools I rely on daily — gear that helps me work efficiently, maintain quality, and deliver media that actually helps listings stand out.

Camera Setup (What I Actually Use + Recommended Options)
Sony A7 V & Sony A7 IV
The Sony A7 V is my primary camera and the heart of my fast handheld HDR real estate photography workflow. After photographing over 10,000 homes, I’ve learned that reliability, speed, and dynamic range matter more than anything — and the A7 V delivers.
The incredible dynamic range handles challenging interiors with bright windows, while the fast autofocus and improved performance make it a perfect camera for high-volume real estate photographers.
The Sony A7 IV was my workhorse for years and is still an excellent camera today. It’s now my recommended budget-friendly option for photographers who want professional image quality without the higher price of the latest model.
Why I recommend these cameras:
✔ Exceptional dynamic range for natural-looking interior HDR images
✔ Fast performance for efficient handheld shooting
✔ Reliable autofocus for photography and video
✔ Professional full-frame image quality
✔ Durable cameras built for thousands of homes

DJI Osmo Pocket 4
This is my go-to camera for cinematic real estate walkthrough videos. It’s incredibly compact, easy to use, and produces smooth, professional footage thanks to its built-in 3-axis gimbal and excellent 4K image quality. The small size means I can move through a home quickly without carrying a bulky camera rig.
I highly recommend the Creator Combo, which includes the wireless DJI Mic, fill light, and other accessories. The mic is perfect for Realtor narrations, and the fill light adds just the right amount of pop to make your Realtor stand out on camera.
DJI RS 5
This is what gives my listing videos that smooth, cinematic feel.
Stabilization isn’t just about aesthetics — it directly impacts how professional a listing feels to a buyer. Smooth motion creates a more immersive experience.
